On November 8th the West Islip Fire Department took delivery of their newest piece of apparatus. It is a 2010 Pierce 75' Quint. It is assigned to Vanguard Engine Company 1 which is stationed at our Station 1, on Watts place. This Quint is a combination of a typical fire engine and ladder truck in one compact vehicle that will help make our response both more efficient and more versatile.
